It is by far the best rod I have and that is over shimano's and st croix's. Its a great rod and I will be getting more someday!

RE: Wright & Mcgill rods

I got to go fishing with Capt. Blair last week and used his 7'9" version and it was just an incredible rod. It casts a mile and is unbelievably sensitive for how strong it is. I definitely plan on getting one soon :)

RE: Wright & Mcgill rods

I purchased a 7' 9" spinning rod at the Fort Myers Fishing Expo this year and I love it:w00t:. I was looking to buy a six footer and Balir convinced me the 7' 9" would be better and I tell you what it makes a huge difference. I cast a mile and out fish just about everyone I go out with cause I cover more water. As for the action it is outstanding. You defiantly get what you pay for. I will probably purchase anther one to replace my 6'6" Saint Croix and one for my bait caster.

Dave

RE: Wright & Mcgill rods

7'9"

RE: Wright & Mcgill rods

what size did you get?

Wright & Mcgill rods

I recently brought a W&M inshore slam series, and I got to tell ya it the best fishing rod I've ever used. I have Star Rods, Fin Nor, Crowder rods, Shinmanos, and the list goes on. Last week I went to the Bahamas and really got to field test the strength and sensitivity of this rod. I was using a Quantum Cabo 40 with 15 pp 50# f/c leader and landed very large Dolphins 25-35# range and large Barracuda one right after another, and not to forget a couple of very unhappy Bonefish(smoking some line). The only thing that wore out was my arm and the leader. I was very impressed of how solid it was but yet so sensitivity. It's definitely my go to rod. Thanks Blair
