That nite-glo is hard to beat on a dark night around the docks and bridge pilings. Whenever possible I purposely throw it onto the dock or piling and drag it off so that it actually falls straight down the wall. I let it freeline straight down. Depending on the tide I use the smallest worm weight that will put it on the bottom and will move with the tide when I slowly lift if off the bottom. My most predictable bite is when it leaves the halo of the light being thrown on the water and hits the shadows.

There is also a hot pink number that has been killing the mangos. I have used the color here and there and most times found it average but lately the mangos around the sea walls and rock piles have been inhaling that pink puppy.

c

RE: DOA Shrimp colors

Many of the new colors have not hit the local or online shops yet BUT they are coming soon. I think the carbonated colors should be a solid addition to a great line of baits.

RE: DOA Shrimp colors

i fish estero bay 2 or 3 times a week and have noticed a lot of murkey water so use it alot on points the wind is blowing on

RE: DOA Shrimp colors

Here is a close-up of my tricked out - # 382 DOA Silver Holographic Shrimp - 1/4 oz - 3" size.
Look at how reflective it is!

The results:

The seatrout and snook are crushing this lure along my favorite SW Florida beach right now! Try it along your favorite beach and flat and let me know how well it works for you!
Even works when having to deal with the red algae which unfortunately has shown up in the surf again this year. If it would ever get clear and the wind would stop blowing, I'd show you some really BIG snook! Stay tuned!!!!! ;)
Tight Lines,

RE: DOA Shrimp colors

I have three favorite colors.

#1) White/glow in the dark

#2) The natural

#3) My second favortit, it's natural with heavy red speckles which gives it that Oak Hill Red shrimp color, great for the Titusvill waters. For those unfamiliar, Oak Hill Reds are a red shrimp that can only be found in this area. The only thing different abou them is the distinctive read color.

#4) My top choice is the bright pink mostrosity color but I find that pitching it back into the shadows of the mangrove overhangs gets my some teeth rattlin' strikes.

RE: DOA Shrimp colors

Also add avocado with red glitter and near clear with red glitter.
I have a new current favorite color that even beat Nite-Glo on the beach last week for spotted seatrout - # 382 Holographic Shrimp. :D

Can't wait to try it out on beach snook.

Was able to take Runner-Up for Spotted Seatrout in the Sarasota CCA All Photo Release Challenge last week on this lure!

Should be able to find it at your local tackle shop.
