The frame is a wrap style and fits me well. Try several styles and find the one that is the best fit and feel for you.

I had to get Rx in amber CR-39 plastic lenses through a dealer which are not Costa Del Mar lenses. At least I see 20/15 with them in progressive lenses! In Rx, you only have a 1 year warranty. They are nice and light weight but I miss my mirrored glass lens!

Ken "Beachsnooker" T - self portrait!!! :D

If I could, I would definetly get the 580 lens as they are excellent. Amber based (maybe green mirror) for sight fishing the flats and beach for sure!

Tight Lines,

RE: Costa del mar sunglasses

Look at the fa 11 fathoms in amber, thats what I have and I love them. I now have Turbine with blue mirror 400s, and Hammerheads with grey 400s. The only real difference I could tell was in the weight of the glasses in general. I don't spend enough time in skinny or blue water to notice the difference in clarity. My 400s perform very well for me, and are still very durable! I got the Turbines and Hammerheads on a clearance sale which is why I went with the 400s. If you have the cash, get the 580s.

RE: Costa del mar sunglasses

Thanks for your feedback i will definately look at the Man O' War sunglasses and will go for the 580 lenses

RE: Costa del mar sunglasses

I have a big head and therefore, big face as well. If you are similar, I'd highly recommend the Man-0-War frames. The black plastic sun shade pieces on the side are removable for when you aren't fishing. They are the best glasses I've ever owned. Better than Oakly, SPY, Ray Ban, or Maui Jim... (Yes i have a sun glass addiction).

As far as the lenses go, spend the extra cash. They'll last forever and you won't regret it.

RE: Costa del mar sunglasses

Troutman2,

Yes on the 580's, I wear the Fathom style in the amber lens.

For the extra $$ they are definitely worth it.

Costa del mar sunglasses

I have heard a lot about Costa del mar sunglasses and was wondering if anyone had a frame that they would recomend. I was also wondering if it would be worth it to spend the extra money and get the 580's?
