New DOA Lures - Smaller Versions of BFL Lures

I actually saw these at the DOA Paddlers Only Tournament this past weekend in Stuart and took these photos! There is a mid size and a mini version. The mini version is actually on Mark Nichols personal Shimano Calcutta rod. :cool:

Do any of y'all use the red power pro? I picked up a spool today by mistake thought it was green till I got it home. What I was wondering was can the fish see it any better than the green p.p. ? I have never used red line before so I am clueless. Any info would be appriciated THANKS.

Push pole in SW Florida

I have a 13" ghenoe and I just bought a push pole for it. I was wondering if anybody knew some good spots to get up on the platform and cast for some tailin reds. Any where from Wiggins Pass to Matanzas Pass preforably.

For my birthday I got a bunch of DOA shrimp in exotic colors, such as chartruce and watermellon. I normally only use 3 colors; glow, gold, and sometimes I use root beer. I was wondering when you would use the floresent colors?

It’s not uncommon for redfish, especially juveniles, to have multiple spots on their tail and sides, but Steve Johnson’s fish caught in the Pine Island Sound area traverses into the realm of cheetahs, Dalmatians and giraffes. Johnson was fishing in late October when he caught the fish. “This was a one of a kind redfish,” he said. “We thought it was a trout when it first got close to the boat.”

The 606-spot redfish—304 spots on one side and 302 on the other—weighed 6.25 pounds, had a 14-inch girth and measured just over 26 inches. Although it was not a spotted seatrout, it begs the question: Just where did all the spots come from?

Johnson took a couple photos and a DNA sample to send to Mote Marine Laboratory, but otherwise released the fish to fight another day. Even through 30 years of fishing redfish tournaments across the state, Johnson and his tournament partner say they have never seen anything like it.

I need some suggestions on mono line in the 8-10 # test range. I use P.P. most of the time but wanted to try some mono again.I would like to stay with the brands at the local walmart because dicks sporting goods and bass pro are about 70 miles away. Any suggestions would be appriciated. Thanks.

fishin the port tonight on the low tide and incoming tide, hopin for some snook hook ups, but my boat ain't working. i kno of the draw bridge, the locks r also very good, but very illegal, any light will work, but does anyone have any suggestions for fishing from shore in the port. im willing to catch anything, im bringing 2 newbies who are clueless, so i need help. does any one kno if the snook r on the jetty rocks yet? any help is appreciated.

Stores that sell Blairs W&M rods?

Besides this site, what other stores sells Blairs rods? Just wanted to know b/c I went into Dicks Sporting Goods today and this is the first time I've ever seen them but they had Blairs W&M rod on the rack. They had 6'6, 7ft, and 7'9 rod all with Blairs signature on them.

In 2 weeks I will be in Gulf Shores, AL with some friends. It's just a weekend trip with a bunch of people so I didn't book a charter or anything, even though I want to do some inshore fishing. If I get a chance I may try to wade around the bay, or maybe fish from the bank on the lagoon or intercoastal. It looks like I will mainly be surf fishing throughout the day sipping cervezas. What are the odds of putting my DOA gear to good use on some light spinning tackle in the surf (or just beyond) while waiting on something to eat and swim off with my bait on the surf rod stuck in the beach?

is it illegal to relocate snook? ive got a little place where the water is about 90% freshwater and i can catch 6" to 12" baby snook all day long and i thought it would be awesome to take them in a big live well and put them in my freshwater lake..i know snook can live in freshwater and the place i catch them is almost fresh so they should live but i dont know...

If everyone would keep thier eyes peeled for a 96 20hp mercury tiller. It had a dol-fin hydrafoil on it. The decals were peeling as was a helmet sticker I put on the back.

Also a 55lb thrust stern mount Minn Kota trolling motor.

My 14' Starcraft/magic tilt trailer was stolen from my house in Orange City on the 21/22. It was hooked to my truck so I could go in the morning and when I went out to go at 4:30 it was gone!

The boat was found about 3 miles from my house where they put it in a small lake played with it and then stripped it.

I have all the serial #'s and the Sherriffs office has them as well, but if they don't take them to a pawn shop or marina to sell them I will not get them back.

If anyone see's it at the ramp or wherever would you get a liscence number and contact me on this forum or pm me.

I'll prolly never get it back but I figured I would try!

In lake worth fl. there is a spillway where after a large rain freshwater dumps into the intercoastal. Lots of snook come to join in on the feeding frenzy. Any tips for bait(artificial or live),leader,line,rod/reel-->(cheaper), etc.??

I had the opportunity to meet Dave Sutton this week end at the Gandy Boat Ramp in Tampa.

He was in town to have it fitted with a poling platform by Joe Welbourn from Carbom marine.

I didnt get the chance to get a demo ride on it but I must say it looks like a well thought out shallow water machine.

Maybe I will have to book a trip with Dave and get down his way for some skinny water fish.

Hello all, Once again sorry for the absence. 5 weeks in Vancouver and the Canadian Rockies, waist deep in snow and frigid water working on an assignment. Just got back 3 days ago, just got the feeling back in my legs and can stand to pee if you know what I mean. About noon today headed south to Rt. 3, and started walking lures in some of my favorite holes around Shiloh Marsh. Only knee deep in the nice, warm water I soon remembered the time of year and that the sexual predators were on the prowl.

Now folks, you have read my bio. I have had a pretty well traveled life. Seen things no man should have to see, blood, guts, you name it. I have been shot at, stabbed, kicked, punched and scratched. I got over it all. I lived, became stronger and moved on. I do not have a weak stomach.

I am a 40, year old man, admittedly have maybe seen some porn, (maybe) with girlfriends, ex-wife, whatever. I am of the mindset that ones personal life is just that as long as they keep it in the confines of their own home. I am NOT easily offended.

But as I said I soon realized that it was that time of year again, and soon became the victim of multiple sexual molestations. As I said, I am 40, big guy, big fat feet but damit, I am sick and tired of the free wheeling, swinging, sexually demented life of those damn, sea cockroaches that screw themselves silly up and down the flats, raising their little sharp antennas as if braggin about another conquest only to move on to their next victim MY BIG FAT FOOT. I ain't afraid of snakes, gators, bugs (ants do give me the heebie geebies because of too many Tarzan movies as a child where the army ants carried elephants away) but I'll be damned if I am gonna stand there and become the victim of those sexual predators. And the rules say they can't be molested. HAH!!!! The damn molesting is coming from them NOT US. I say we need to carry pistols and blow every one of those nasty bastards to pieces before they have the chance to attack our women and children.

I feel used, dirty, I can't shower it off. I need to go to the Rape Crisis Center. Please help.

If you put other Gulps! and other baits; D.O.A.s, swim baits, other soft plastics; into a Gulp! Alive container will the colors mix or not? I have Gulp! Alive in pearl color and want to put darker colors; nuclear chicken, new penny, natural shrimp, and an assortment of other soft plastics; in with it. Ok or not??
