If the winds and the trolling motor would have been working in my favor I would have been right there with you. We ended up drifting a nice flat on the other side of the sand bar just across from The Beacon 42 ramp and came up with one trout, but did see some huge schools of reds but they wouldn't eat. By the end of the day we had couple trout and lady fish and that was it. Last time Shawn and I drifted the flats around Beacon 42 the fish had lock jaw, they are so pressured and have probably see every artie out there.

RE: Mosquito Lagoon 5/10

Thats sounds like a plan Cracker just let me know when you want to go and I will meet ya there. I like the Upper End of those West Shore Clinker`s,the fish just gets to hammered near that Beacon Ramp, they are there, but after they see the first couple of boats, they get spooky ;)

What were yall useing for Lures ?

Mosquito Lagoon 5/10

My stepdaughter and I met up with fish4reds and his brother inlaw and headed for Grannys Cove early. It was to windy I drifted the flat once and it was a wash so my daughter and I loaded up and went to beacon 42 ramp at Mosquito lagoon. We covered a lot of water for a couple of ours when all the sudden Fish On!
This is a 25" Gator Trout. A little later we were drifting the same flat before we left and it was Fish On once again!![img][/img]

The date on the pic is not correct this is my daughters camera!
