Inspite of recent health and family issues,I have been doing some wading around early mornings and there is and will be plenty to have fun with in the Indian River. Caught and released a very nice snook two weeks ago around a pothole using a top water plug along with a smaller one and several trout in 45 minutes of time during an incoming tide.

The bigger snook I would have to say was in the 20lb class,very healthy indeed. Fished solo,wished I could have got a pic to share....

Some tarpon are around the powerplant but I haven't heard any reports of the permit off the Boils yet. Cold water updwellings may have receeded and they should be back.

PLENTY of bait to be had.

It's official......Mogan Mania X will have the official lifeguard!

Finally got in touch with the elusive Wade "the lifeguard" and all is a go for MMX! He didn't get my voice message a couple of weeks ago and was bummed out thinking a little thing like cancer was going to keep me away from Mogan Mania this year.....YEAH, RIGHT! :rolleyes: Doc's are on notice that I am out of town the end of next week, tack a couple more treatments on to the end 'cause I'm missing these 2.

Looks like I may have another "guest visitor" traveling with me as well.

Counting down the days.....I'm starting to head that way next Thursday! Not sure if we will drive straight thru and get there Thursday night, or get in Friday about Noon.

Well, I just notified RPC that I have to cancel my reservation. Complete knee replacement is scheduled for June 23, then at least 8 weeks of rehab..That's about the only thing that could keep me from the tenth anniversary MM. Hope someone picks up the cottage so I don't have to pay for it. Bad enough that I can't be there...Now I have to be like LT and say "somebody please get me a shirt". :sick:

I know you folks are busy,and I hope that didn`t sound too pushy,It wasn`t ment that way :)

Just thought with this being a 10 year event,and what looks to be a large number of New Faces,we should do a complete History of AF,with Highlights from each year,leading up to the present.......I think it would be interesting for the New Folks,and a nice walk down memory lane for the rest of us....and maybe a Pop-Quiz sheet to fill out,loaded with 10 years of Trivia dealing with everything from the AF Show,Crew,Site,Redfish Team,Forum, Mogan Mania....and extra points for some MPI questions ;)

Do we have the Kerosene Brothers on Speed-Dial ?.......If not,I think we should have at least a Hayseed Dixie Hour,later Saturday Night;)....with a toast to fallen friends we`ve lost over the past ten years.

Just a few ideas ;)

I'm not sure if Selena and Codye are coming with us yet or Marshall and his girlfriend so I may have room in our boat for someone to lead me to the snook finally, hahaha but we do have to kayaks we can lend someone while we are down there. Cracker do you think you could help me arrange getting them down there? I can't wait to see everyone, hell I can't wait to get out of the house, sadly our last day on the water was the last MM we attended. The boat trailer has been broke but things are looking up over here and we should be back in business soon.
