Sorry its taken so long to reply, but work has been kickin' my butt since Mogan Mania....

Cracker, yes we went over and hit the docks....made friends with some of the people in room 413 (gave away some Lunker Sauce packets and a few other goodies) and became guests of theirs...just in time too, as I went back to my car the guy was standing there with a clip board checking it out. I let him know we were visiting one of their guests, gave him the name and room number and all was good.

At least there were snook to look at, unlike Friday night. They were there (not in the usual numbers), and feeding, but not very interested in anything we had. This is the first year my little jigs struck out....had lots of lookers, even a 'sniff' or two, but no takers. Finally put a little greenie on a jig head that Wade caught with a sabiki, and hung it off 'the corner' in the current. It took a few minutes but the biggest one there finally got 'stupid' and took it. I had her head up and out of the water, but those 60 grit lips made short work of my 50 lb fluoro leader.....it looked like someone hit it with a belt sander. At least I got the satisfaction of getting one hooked up. I could stand on that dock all night and just watch the snook, so not catching them is no big deal to me.

Well, back to work now.....

Hey, a snook is a snook!

I've had smaller ones than that fight like they were twice their size, especially in cold, deep water. Thanks for posting the pics Chum. Oh by the way Cracker, we did sneak into Dockside on Sunday night around midnight and fished til 5am. Monday morning! Luckily Chumheads charm got us hooked up with some people in room 413, so we were guests instead of squaters LOL. He fished his usual spot for hours, the rest of us fish here and there, we could all see the snook but they were lockjawed. The weather was great, even had a breeze come through a few times, but there was hardly a moon. We all kept trying, then right during the peak time, Chum hooked into a WHOPPER, I was standing across from him and saw the whole thing, I seen right down her throat! The look on her face was priceless, it's like that fish was thinking, "I can't believe I fell for it!" LOL.

He managed to keep her on for a few seconds which probably felt like hours to Chum before that gill plate cut his leader and allowed her to escape, but we concidered it caught anyway. About five minutes later I was ripping a rattle trap through the water, cross current and just as I was about to run out of water, a huge snook came out of the shadowline and crushed it! My fight was about the same as Chums, but in my case the leader held, but she spit the hook. Of coarse it was concidered caught too. Chum always does better the day AFTER Mogan mania, so the day after MM has become known as "Chum Mania" LOL. He has patience beyond belief, and it pays off for him especially in that one little corner at Dockside.

We really wish you guys could have stayed longer, you would have had fun out there, those were some of the biggest snook I've ever seen at Dockside. Oh and the company was great too, I miss getting to talk to you guys in person, it's too bad we can't make it to more of the other events during the rest of the year, we'll have to work on that I guess. Anyway, that's the report from "Chum Mania" at Dockside LOL.

Sorry we didn't get any pics, got busy pointlessly chasing those snook from one end of the dock to the other LOL. Talk to ya later.

LOL..........It pulled like a Snook,only lighter :P

What kind of Snook is it ?

That Flounder that Wade is holding,was the Small one,the one he caught on the next cast was a true Doormat......The water was so clear,and from the Polling Platform,I watched the whole fight,all the way to the boat :cool:

I told myself that I was going to be sure to take more pics than last year, and I'm glad I did. Of coarse no pictures can replace being there in person, so those that didn't get to come this year, plan on being there next year, no matter what LOL!

I only got to take two pic`s all weekend :w00t:,just too busy ;)

Julie posted up some of her great pic`s,AF posted up some great ones too,but with all the Flashes going off,I know there are plenty more out there,and we`d love to see them :D

Kracker`s camera almost blinded me several times :P so I know he`s got pic`s.........Chumhead has a few good ones I`d like to see :D

Any pic`s you have of the weekend,we`d love to see em........between the Grill and the Painkiller`s,and the Mishap in the Oven,I was kept busy enough to miss alot of the activities going on under the Chickee Hut....so please ,Post Em Up :D
