Talked to Cracker a few hours ago and the snook are stacked up in the inlet. Hope they are still there when we get to Jensen tomorrow.:D

I marked the spillways in the GPS so I think Cracker is gonna wanna go to the St Lucie spillway first. That's just my guess Mwaldo1 :P

I got this one down at the Palm City spillway a couple weeks, she ate a red tail hawk.

Found 2 North of the South Bridge,and 1 on the St.Lucie ;)

Tom, I found 2 new ones that not too many people know about, one is just off of I-70 (okeechobee road) head west under the turnpike in ft.pierce like heading to okeechobee and there is a brand new park on your left with a huge spillway, and park facilities. The other one is North of town, but holds huge snook. A friend of mine that lives there caught a small bass, but before he could get it in, a HUGE snook grabbed it, it was like 38"! Since the bass was wedged in his mouth he was able to land the snook, naturally he ate it!!! I'll have to e-mail you that one or show it to you, it's kind of a private one.

Hopefully it won't rain though, but if it does I'm sure you'll do ok.

The good thing about Mogan Mania Weekend.......if it rains all weekend long,there are still Good Times to be had under the Chickee Hut :D

How many Spillways are in that area,and where are they located ? Thought I seen one on the South Fork of the St.Lucie.

Cracker,

Your plan is a well rounded one. The wheather in the mornings is clear and sunny like it is now as I type and currently it is 80 degrees.We had a storm cell complex move in yesterday afternoon from the south along the coast here that had some heavy rain for 2 hrs and I measured the rain @ 4 1/2". Got some nice green,tall grass to cut today.....:w00t:

There is a good chance for more rain on a west/southwest flow for the next few days here but should get better sky conditions by the end of the week,just in time....;)

Thanks Capt.Karl,just trying to put some kinda plan together for Saturday ;)

Looks like a High Tide at about 9:30ish,and weather might alter the plan,but :

5:30 am,Big Mud.....Poons should be pouring in as that area fills up.

First Light, Spoil Islands,south of the South Bridge......that Grass Flat around those first two spoils should have enough water to hold some nice Gator`s

But then I`m not sure if we`ll grab a few Bait`s there and head out to the Boils,or come back the River,and hit Middle Point and Little Mud,before heading to the St.Lucie Inlet.....depends on the weather I guess,witch isn`t looking to great :pinch:

Forgot to mention,the bait schools are off the beach from the inlet to the House of Refuge and there is bait at the Sandpile and the Bull Shark barge south of the inlet. A fair amount of bait is also in the rivers,just look for the birds and the jacks...

Some cobia are also around from Jensen Beach north to the powerplant along the beach following the rays,most fish in the 25-35lb range.

The last few days,the Jensen Beach Causeway on the east side has had some good catch and release action on atrificals. The Roosevelt has been slow but the saltwater is all the way to the Paln City bridge and a neighbor did well with some small snook and a few redfish. Big Mud Creek at the powerplant and the flats around Herman's Bay are producing as is the flats right in front of RPC and Caribbean Shores ans also at Indian Riverside Park,where the sailing center is. The North Fork near Club Med has been holding tarpon and snook. There are some large snook at the detatched jetties as always but not too many boats fishing.

The docks along the river in both the St Lucie and the Indian near the inlet have snook.

Offshore, a good body of sailfish have been here due to a cold water updwelling in place. Some nice wahoo have been caught in the last few weeks. The dolphin have been scattered and smaller as it is this time of year. I fished off Jupiter recently and we got a 38lb bull,32lb cow and several smaller. We also released a small sailfish and really got hammered by the large bonito.

Everyone should bring their "A" game to Mogan Mania. There is good fishing here to be had and the afternoon late shows we have been getting have been impressive but not wide spread,got some thick,green grass for now.........

Any word on where the Snook will be this year ?

Capt.Fishbones : I seen that you said that the water is Clean,and PH is still in a good ballance,with good Bait along the Beach :D....Sounds great:D

I seen on the FS Board,where they were catching good numbers of Mogan Snook at the Boil`s ,but haven`t heard much about anywhere else in that area.

Any word from the Locals about the St.Lucie Inlet,St.Lucie River,or local Bridges for stacked up Snook ?
