If you can't have fun with what you do then why do it?

Meeting those few people that are able to make a difference in your life and so many more is what makes my job so rewarding. I've been able to meet so many interesting people over the last dozen or so years working in hotels it makes it worth while, usually!

Thank you Cracker11, We appreciate that(speaking for all the F/F out there). And your right about the money thing, it doesn't pay that well, but the rewards like helping folks out in time of need is priceless. Thanks again...

Julie : No Boss,No Time-Clock,No 30 min Drive To Work :w00t:,.......but I know that take year`s of hard work,so it must feel very rewarding to get where you are now,and be in good enough Health to still enjoy it....Congrats ;)

Moganhunter : I`m guessing that your a Fireman:unsure:......if so,my hat is off to you Sir.....Seeing what you folks see when things go bad,I`m sure it is very rewarding when your able to save lives and property from certin harm. I have always thought that your job has to be one of the toughest job`s in the world,and one that I`ve held the deepest respect for......it is not natural to run into a burning building :w00t:...What ever you guy`s make,it`s not near enough;)...........Good Blessings to you,for many more year`s :cool:

Been saving life and property for about 28 years. I like my job or I wouldn't have stayed with it for as long as I been. What make me feel good, is the fact that your actually changing someone life for the better and thats what I like about my job. Also, Making it back home for another day is really a blessing..

ty cracker so much !!!!! if you have any idea on a canvas top i would apreciate that too . i kind of prefer a soft top my old k-5 blazer was a pain to take the hard top off and on my self , but i did it . :hehe: its great to be in the trenches again turning wreches !!!! again ty so much cracker for all your help!!!!!

Go Trim-Tab,sounds like the Motivation is surly there for ya,and starting your own Company can be very rewarding,knowing the End Product is ALL YOU :D Tare the IRS a New-One for me too:P

Robin : I realy don`t know what to say but......I Feel Bad For Ya :( ........I`ve had a few just like that,things get to running so Backazzwards,that you do twice the work to get half of it done....but you can`t let it Drag Ya Down......I use to keep a " Why Do I Do It " Photo Album in my Tool-Box,filled with Good Friend`s and Loved One`s,along with a few Nice Fish that I`ve caught over the year`s ,sure helps me ;).......Hope it gets better for ya :)

NOTHING - my job sucks. I loved HR before we were bought out by a 10,000 person company. Now it is just a joke of circling paperwork.

What do I find rewarding about my job? Well the tax prep industry is good to me...

But I take a certain liking to legally #$^&ing the IRS at their own game, by their own rules...

I got into this industry to make sure the IRS doesn't get one red cent that it's not due, and my clients recieve the proper deductions and credits they can claim, so that they get the full refund they are legally owed.

I've also been doing some research, and should the owners of the franchise i currently work for sell, then I'll be starting my own income tax service, as I have my own client base. ;)

Oh, and im delving into bookkeeping now year-round work as well. :D

Just had the tranny in the Caravan rebuilt.......$650.00...:w00t:...so I feel your Pain......but it shifts so sweet now,I should have done it last year ;)

HOLY #%%@%&*!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG CRACKER THAT TRUCK IS AWSOME !!!!!!!!!!! i bought a 79 bronco with a 4" lift it has a very strong 351 modified engine and a one ton rear end .its kind of rough but its sooooo me!!!!!! (look at the suburban i sold trimtab ), hehehehe!!! and guess what ?? i started my first day as a machanic in a decent shop hahahahahah . talk about dejavu. :D. i love that impala but i have to agree i would be drewling over the ranger more .as soon as i get my truck back from having the trani rebuilt ill post some pics . thank you for posting that truck u so made my night . oh yeah and im loveing working on cars again !!!

63 Impala...........Costomer built a 350 from a 93 Blazer,and wanted Custom Hoses to marry the 93 compressor to the 63 Evap of the car.......Came out Sweet ;)

Sorry to hear that Josh,I`ve had plenty of those type of job`s,but it has taken me 20 Some-Odd Year`s for me to finaly decide what area of the Auto Industry I wanted to Speacialize in...........I thought about Marine Motor Work,so I could stay near the water, but Auto A/C it my true calling......and it`s one or the few things folk`s here in Fla. refuse to live without :

Food

Fuel

And Freon ;)

Find what you do best.....And if it keep`s you Intrested and Learning every day....Grab it,and run like heck...not many of those around ;)

I work at a Ford Dealership here in Birmingham. Is my job rewarding? I guess it gives me a paycheck! I'm less than stoked to come to work everyday and stare at a brick wall across an alley. I sell parts at the service counter, I deal with techs all day, and if there is no work, it's very boring. I do however enjoy everyone I work with. My boss lives on Lake Logan Martin, and shares the same passion for fishing that I do. It's pretty easy to sneak out early to go fish, because he usually is to. I would love to get a job in the fishing/marine industry. They're puting up a new Bass Pro about 20 minutes from my house, so I will apply there and see what I can get into.

I don't hate my job, I definitely have some fun here, but I don't love it either!

Hey All :D

I`m an Auto Tech at a High Volume A/C Shop,we do alot of costom work on Older Car`s and Truck`s,and we get to see some very nice work that the Owner`s have done to these older auto`s. Doing this kinda work,I`ve been behind the wheel of just about every auto that you can think of,from the 944,to a Pantera........but I`m a sucker for the Old Truck`s ;)
