Just got a call that made my day! Wade is off so we should be there Thursday evening if thats not too soon? Plan on leaving Monday AM for the return trip home. Thinking of raiding the Dockside or getting a room for Sunday night for some marathon Dock snookin'.

Mike, I will call and give you a heads-up when I pick Wade up in St. Pete, should only take about 3 hours from there.

We are getting a ton of rain.....one of the spillways close to Mogan Mania is running so hard it is foaming....should be a perfect spot for Mogan Snook. Saw a 52"er caught a few weeks ago....judging by the rain today it should still be running strong. I have to work Friday and Saturday so will miss everything. Good luck to all and post lots of pics.

just like Cracker said, pull up there by the hut, and I am sure that you will have no trouble getting volunteers to hoist that thing up on their shoulders and carry it down there for ya, maybe even with you in it LOL. I think you need a crown and a golden staff for that LMAO!!

you know me, I'll be at Mogan Mania no matter what, and I will fish for as long as I can take it. It's great for me because I get to fish with you guys, that's what keeps me going, cause it sure isn't the catching LOL. I'd rather fish with you guys for hours and not catch a thing, than fish alone and be catchin em left & right. Can't wait to enjoy it all over again!

That is funny Joe,I did the same thing with my Johnboat at MMII....it easy going down that hill ;)

There is a strip of Pavement next to the Chickee Hut you can back into,can`t back up past the Grills,but it will get you close enough....just drop it in the grass,and someone will help ya ;)

Shelly : The Painkillers will help ya loosen up,but it seems every year there is a Jar of Shine that shows up........couple Painkillers,couple snorts of Corn,is sure to Untie Your Knot:P. I just got a Gallon of Rum for the Cause :D

Mike: As much as I`d like to catch a Snook at MM,I`d like to see you catch one more:cool:.....but just seeing you on that Dock last year,Fishing your butt off,was just more than I expected,I know it took alot out of ya,but it was sure good to see :D

Last year I parked in the lot to the north and I dragged my canoe down the bank (wow that is steep) to launch it. Can I pull down the main area (near the hut) to launch the canoe? Last year I spent most of my time on the water or under the hut and I didn't really look around for pavement or access to the water so... If all else fails, I'll drag the canoe down the bank again (or get in and ride it down the slope:D).

Last year was my first MM of many to come. I don't really remember a whole lot from last year it is a blur but I do remember meeting tons of very cool people. I got off to a rocky start with some of the members here but there were several of you who cheered me on and I'm glad I stuck it out. I love my AF family and I cant wait to see everyone and enjoy my time spent with each and every one of you.

I am most looking forward to catching my first snook I don't care if it was just born I wanna catch a snook.

I'm not a dancer I have no rythmn Heck i cant even spell it. but I heard about all the fun on the dance floor I'm hoping with enough pain killers in me that I can join in on that fun too.:w00t:

I just had the PICC line taken out of my arm yesterday, and I'm not exactly 100% yet, and I get tired easily, but I am definitly EXCITED about MM!! I'll just be sitting around mostly, but I will be doing some fishing too. Of coarse we can't wait to see all you guys again, you're right, it's like our family reunion. There probably arn't more people on the forum talking about it because they are too busy working hard in order to get their bosses to let them go LOL. we know they're coming because of the hotel being booked.

I guess we'll have to do the talking for them, they probably only have time to check in just to read what's going on, so let's give them all the help & info to help em out. It will be here before you know it!!!

Haven`t got anything done yet,but I`m as Stoked now as I was for my First Mogan Mania for several reason`s:

River Palm Cottages : One of the more Macked-Out places in that area,but certainly the most Relaxing...........Is the Birthplace of Mogan Mania,but after # 2,it grew so big that we moved it over to the Dockside Inn,on Ft.Pierce Inlet,for more room.........and man did we need it,I belive we had a head-count of over 450 folk`s :w00t:.......Great Place for what we needed,but the numbers started to drop back off a bit,so it was moved back to RPC,and I couldn`t be more pleased........This is where Mogan Mania was made to be :cool:

Jensen Beach : Great Center Location for Ft.Pierce Inlet,Power Plant,St.Lucie Inlet,St.Lucie River, 6 Bridges,with great Near and Offshore fishing,as well as all the Inshore stuff.....Big Boat,Small Boat,there is something for all. The Snook in this area has to be some of the Biggest,Fattest,Meanest in the land,and when it`s ON,it`s Heaven ;)

The Mogan Maniac`s : This is the Main Reason I get so Stoked every year.............Me and Rena have met new member`s,and made new friends every year,so this has gotten to be like a Family Reunion for us,and it is the only time I get to see most of them,either because they live so far away,or just so busy ya can`t get away at the same time........So Quality Time under the Chickee Hut,surrounded by Great Friends,Great Food,Great Drink`s,Loud Music is the High-Point of the Week-End......everything ater that,is just Gravy ;)

We are so psyched to go to Mogan Mania. We bought a boat and are ready to see if the fishing gene has been passed to me. (ask Blair about my great abilities. We won't be going out too far since I get sea sick. (I CAN HEAR YOU LAUGHING!) We will be there with the kids, the dogs, and the grandparents; aka Linda & Daddy Wigg. Yeah I remember the sign being taken, but didn't know the game was taken too. Well I have quite a few now, (ps2) including a fishing game. I also missed my old N-64 so much that I bought one off e-bay (in the box!) I have also managed to get mario kart, and rush 2. I'm still thinking of some other stuff too. We'll get the kids something to do when they get bored. I'll send you a list when I'm done.

good ideas Cracker. I'll try to come up with a few game ideas too. Things that can just be set up and kinda run themselves, so it can be played at anytime without adults having to be there everytime a child wants to play it. We'll see what we can put together. Does anyone know if there will be a video game set up for them anywhere?

I haven`t heard about anything planned yet,but I wouldn`t mind picking up a few Pool-Noodles,making Loop`s for a Casting Comp for everyone....not sure what kind of Prizes we could come up with,but I think it would be fun ;)

Word Game........We decide on a word before MM,then when someone says that word,we all have to drink.........Choose the word wisely,or we`ll all be on the floor :D

Anymore ideas for the kids? I know Tom was going to head that up, but haven't heard anymore about the decisions (I've been out of the loop)on what is planned. I have a friend who's kid just got into fishing and I think they may be able to make it, and he really needs all the help he can get. Just wondering how that's coming along. Getting excited now!!!

Hey Chum,

I am glad to BE home, thrilled actually. If it wer'nt for Hospice, my Dr. would have me in the hospital the next 2 weeks instead. Heck me & Jama were shown how to do it, and so we have been taking care of it ourselves. They have these new tennis ball sized medicine balls that are pressurized, and you just hook the line from it into the port in the arm, and un clip it and it runs for like a 1/2 hour, take it off, flush it with saline and Heparin, and you're done. You are very mobile even with it on.

3 times a day, that's it, it's really easy. Don't you worry about me, I'm gettin to be a tough old bird LOL. Can't wait to see you guys too. I'll be ready for some relaxin & fishin. Keep me updated on things there too.

I finally got ahold of 'the lifeguard', looks like Wade will be able to make it this year. Mike and Jama, keep me posted on how things are going.....if our staying with you causes any problems, we can make other arrangements. I was thinking about staying one night at the Dockside Inn for some all-night marathon fishing (is there any other kind?), just to make it legit.

Switched computers a while ago and am just getting back here. Met a family member of Blair today which got me motivated to come back. What have I missed? Mogan Mania is getting close. Hopefully this year I will be able to spend alot more time maybe even fish. All I know is this year I gotta get a pain killer.:D

No problem, I understand. It's hard for me to make the simple drive to Jensen Beach. I carry pumps, and other medical equipment. It's just a shame you can't stay long enough to enjoy everything, there are times that it's laid back a breezy, and other times when us maniacs wade out, and get lucky and hook into a school of trout or snook passing through, and every year the A/F crew goes ALL out even with the amazing food, so try to stay as long as you can,or maybe Chumhead will get a lot of it recorded on that sweet newcam!

Can't wait to meet ya, even if it's just for a short time. Maybe in the future things will be different, and you can bring the whole family and stay all weekend.

mmmmm, food. Crackers right, its never to early to talk about food.

Mike, I really do appreciate it. Its not the money or the drive time at all. I would take you up on the offer if it were under different circumstances. I am driving down and and leaving on the same day so I will be home with the family. I would love to bring the family but its a big deal to do a trip with my daughter, she has special needs and its hard to do the normal/small trips that is easier for your average family. Once she's a bit older and can find for herself it will be a different story. Just give me a few years and we'll see, but for now if I can get down there on a Saturday and do some fishing I'll take it, even if its only for one day.
