Question was asked about when everyone thought would be a good time for it this year,and should we wait until after the kids got out of school ?

I`m single again,so anytime is great for me,but I think waiting until the kids are out for Summer is best,seeing how this has always been a Family Gathering :D

As far as the Place,I was kinda wondering what AF was thinking about this year !!!!!!

What do yall think about it ?

FishnNut and I headed over to the Frank Sargent Show today at the Tampa Fairgrounds........Now I`m not big on going to these LOOKY-LOOK shows,but I must say,I Had A Great Time....Spent about 5 hrs just walking around to all the booth`s,seeing all the new ideas,decent prices,friendly folks more than willing to talk with ya, about anything to do with Water :D

Stopped by to see the Gang over at the Fins Booth,and got schooled on some new line......and yes,Mr Mono will be checking out the Windtamer Braid on his next trip out :P......and it`s always a big boost of energy seeing AF Producer and Trice,and getting all stoked about MM X :cool:

Crackers computer died!

I talked to Cracker yesterday and he's climbing the walls. His computer died, crashed, umm, it's gone to computer heaven, and Cracker is going through "HE" double "L". A computer neighbor spent like untold hours trying to work his computer magic but even he thinks it's gone. If any anyone has an old computer to donate to a very worthy cause please let him know, if you have his number, or me. Again, if you know Cracker he's either fishing or posting here and on Facebook. I'm going thank you in advance for him since, well, since he can't get on line. Thanks again. :):exclamation:

Just curious if we have any USMC vets here. Im just about half way done with school, and im just starting my diet/work out so i can join by next year summer. After i come back, im going to finish up my school--to become an x-ray technician. Why am i doing this? I honestly want to go to USMC and serve my country that way then start my career as an X-Ray Tech. I've wanted to go since the 8th grade but i got slightly injured while walking at school, so it put me out of commission for 12th grade summer, so i started my schooling to which im half way done. All i gots to do is do 8 hours of volunteering and just apply to the program which is the other half of my schooling-bout 1 or 2 years long.;)

i was thinkin along the lines of 0351--assaultman with rockets, anti tanks and stuff--or 8532 which is small arms weapons trainer.:cool::cool: I am striving to become a Sgt or Staff Sgt. If my physical condition becomes hella better, i wanna try and be a marksman with the m40a1, 0317 SCOUT SNIPER! No NO NOOOOO!!! Dont think im saying this because i saw a friggen movie or from video games so thats why i wanna do that. DOOOOONT SAY IT! I get really really angry when people think and say that stuff because NO i dont get idea from movies or games, rather i love the science behind being a marksman. The whole wind, ballistics, bullet drop, bullet spin, muzzle velocity, bullet drop compensators for scopes, minute of angle, how many mils per feet ETC ETC! All that stuff interests me and im willing to bust my behind to learn it and do that stuff in the field. I do undsterstand soldiers are being killed and it doesn't really scare me...why? i've been nearly ran over just 20 feet in front of my house 6, not once or twice, 6 times while walking...ON THE SIDE WALK! Folks try and miss the speed bump and nearly take me out because they dont want to slow down...its funny cuz im wearing reflective clothing and a white shirt, and im a fairly large person and yet they still seem to barely see me!

I had fallen overboard when I could no longer post here with Internet Explorer,I switched over to Chrome to get back on,but even that had it`s own problems,and quickly turned into a Pain In The Butt also......anywho

I noticed a "Compatibility View" button,and it seems to fix any problem I had getting on here at AF,all post`s and Pic`s now work for me using I.E...........So if you still can`t get on here using I.E..try the Compatibility View :D

I may be the last one to find this,I`m kinda slow with Computers :P,but I figured if it helps folks get back up and running on here,then I should Shout It Out !!!!!!!!!

Also, have you seen the AF Fan page? Kevin and I have been doing quite a bit of work on the fan page getting it updated with videos, photos, news, etc. Once we start with the Dick's Sporting Goods Mogan Tour, we'll be posting pics of the seminars, all of you that come out to see us, Costa winners, etc.

Flatslady`s Mother has Passed Away

Many of you may remember Brenda {Flatslady} FlatsKracker`s Wife,her mother has been fighting health issues for over a year now.......well,Brenda gave me the call last night,and told me that she was very near the end of her race,and I could tell that she was very upset..........Brenda and L.T. was by my side last Feb. when my Rena Passed Away,and if not for them,I would have never made it through that with my Sainity Intact. I feel like a real Sh-t-Heel that I can`t be there for them in their Time Of Need,due to health issues of my own,..........But I can ask each of you here to PLEASE send Brenda and L.T. some kind words of comfort,to ease their Pain in this troubled time........They Sure Could Use It Right Now !

They are both on Face Book if that is easier for anyone to contact then that way,things are a bit crazy around the Kracker Compound with her passing this morning at 4:45am,so give them a few days to deal with things if you plan to call please !!!!!!!!

But it seems that God has decided it was time to call home Brendas mom.

She is still in the hospital , and has undergone massive amounts of attempts to keep her well , but her final days are drawing near. The doctors have advised us that her kidneys are all but completely shut down, her heart is operating on less than 20 percent , and she has suffered 2 more heart attacks while in this time alone, and that there is nothing more that they can do for her.

Hospice was called in and the family met with them this morning to get things in order , she will be kept in the hospital today, and transported by ambulance in the morning back home where she can spend her final days there until she passes away, which without any dialisys, or other treatments , they suspect will be no more than a week.

Please say one final prayer for her , the prayer of Salvation , and keep the family in your prayers for strength and courage in the days to come .

You all are a great addition to our family , and it would be even harder without the support for you all, Thanks for everything you have done !

CooKnCrew will be gathering at Dad's house Xmas Eve (regular family tradition. Christmas morning I will go out in search of the Great Christmas Snook. Every year he rises out from the flats and showers all the girls and boys with presents.

I have already scored a pair of Simms waders and my dad picked up a 16ft Carolina Skiff. It's already a great Christmas for CooKnCrew!

Some of you may remember TommyGun {Tom Cook} here on the Forum,and some may even remember him from the last Mogan Mania at RPC{His First}.......Him and Cris looked like me and Rena walking up to our first MM:ermm:..so we introduced ourselfs by filling thier glasses with Painkiller`s :P they loosened up real quick ;).........so much that the Monday after MM,He starts a thread for "Next Mogan Mania ?" :D.......Instant Addict !!

Tommy was a Regular on the Banana River NMZ,chasing his Giant Black with a Fly,along with being a local Surfer,and working out at the Cape,and different Sports........To say he Loved this area,would be the understatement of the year ;)

Last year about this time,Tommy set up a Campout at KARS Park,ended up just being a few of us,but we had a great time.......I just wish I would have known........Two days later......Tommy Passed :crying:

A good friend of Tommy`s,Steve Miller ,has been kicking it around with me about doing a Memorial Paddle/Camp/Cookout ,......This is it :D

Steve has invited Tommy`s friends from work,fishing,surfing,and I`m inviting anyone here that would like to attend and Remember a Fallen AF Family Member TommyGun :)

Clinker Island or KARS Park Campout ?

Tough Choice :D.........We`ve had gatherings at both places,both area`s have great fishing,with Camps right on the water.

Clinker Islands : CNS has several Camping Islands set aside in the North Skeeter Lagoon,perfect for groups,but it is Island Camping.....No Electric or Water.

KARS Park : Sits on the West Shore of the Banana River NMZ,with Open-Field Camping,and a sweet Panoramic View of Port Canaveral,Air Force Station,and NASA Complex all lit up at night ;)..........but you need a KARS Park Pass to Camp , I have a Guest Pass,and I think I can get like 8 people in to Camp/Fish,and I might be able to talk my buddy who gave me my pass to join in,so any more than 16 to 18 folks,and we`d have to find another Pass Holder....but it`s Doable ;)

Was thinking around the Second weekend of November.......before the Holidays Crank Up ;)

Matt has tried to make this post himself but has been unable to log onto the forum.

Yesterday Matthews father Bruce Scott died of a sudden massive heart attack. I type this not knowing what to say and am still in shock of the news.
Bruce Scott was a great father and husband. A man whom in a short amount of time I was able to get to know and call friend and laugh and joke with as if he were my own father.
My prayers go out to Matt and his mother in this time of loss. Matt, my friend if there is anything I can do for you please do not hesitate to call.

Bruce and Matt had a great relationship for a father and son. Constantly fishing together. Matt I am happy you had that time with your father. Treasure those memories.

Seems that Brenda and L.T. are the latest victims of not being able to log into the AF Forum. She sent me a message and asked that I post this for her:

hey everyone i need all your prayers that you can give.my mom is in hosptal now and has suffered from 1 heart attack it happened on friday. my mom goes into open heart surgey tuesday . she only has 40% of her heart working now the doctor gave us 50 to 50 % chance that she will make it through . she only has 10% of her kidney working....so please send alllll the prayers and be thinking of us on tuesday. thank you Brenda

Try downloading Google Chrome ( [url=http://www.google.com/chrome]http://www.google.com/chrome[/url] ) and using the Google browser to log on to the forum. I did it and it worked, however I wouldn't recommend using Google Chrome as your default browser. What I do is only use the Google Chrome browser to go on the AF froum and my Internet Explorer browser to all my other activities. This has been the only way I have been able to sign in for about 2 weeks now.

Well, I'm headed to Alaska on Sunday. :D I am really dreading the flight. It is soooo long.:crying: But ,I am sure it will be worth it. Dave is enjoying his summer guiding at the lodge.But...he is missing home. Our beloved German Shorthair Pointer passed away from a stroke 2 weeks ago.Dave was soooooo upset he was not here.

The internet access is spotty, but I will try to post from the lodge. When I get back I will post pictures,....I promise.

We are supposed to fly to the glacier and pan for gold.There is ground there that has never been exposed before. They have been panning there and have found gold. It has been so warm that Dave said the glaciers will be gone by the time I get there. The river is back up because of the melt. I was looking forward to being cool! I guess there will be plenty of that at night. Just can't wait to be back in the woods.

Also planning to fly over volcanoes in the "mosquito". Hope to have great pictures. Mark Bills the lodge owner is a bush pilot with 20 years experience.( thankfully) Dave says the flights alone are unbelievable.We will be flying to Wasilla for supplies.I need to find a bear for my collection.:)

There is an Alaska report in the Coastal Angler Magazine,Miami edition.

Well, have to finish packing and running some errands today. I think I am ready but every day there is something else I have to do.Got a house sitter/animal feeder to watch the house. No hurricanes in sight...thank you very much.

Roo and I TRIED to get back in time for Dockside.
We were really disappointed we couldn’t make it. I talked to Flatskracker and Cracker11. LT I’m glad Tom had such good company and Rena had such good company too. You were all in our prayers all weekend, (You STILL are). We also wanted to say Happy Birthday to Tom. This was a get together I didn’t want to miss. Next time there is one I will just have to cancel all OTHER plans. :crazy:

Hello maniacs,just wanted to stop in and say hi.I know more than half of yas dontremember who the heck I am.I sure miss this family but Ive just been si busy with mine the kids are doing great and the grandson becoming a better angler than I.Wanted to let ya know my youngest sons first movie is coming in Sept 15,its called cloudy with scatered meatballs.(artist)hes working on a new one called Alice in wonderland(johnny depp)And another remake of The smurfs.really proud of him been spendind alot time back forth to LA.Doing alot fishin on the west coast of Fla.,I love it,down by Venice.Sorry to babble but I truly do miss all of yas.I live in Port Orange if anyone would like to give it a try on some mogans.my treat...Ive learned so much from this forum and The guru capt blair,keep up the good work,looks like ya spending alot of time in the glads.great fishin(.old saying)some men go to church and think about fishing,some men go fishing and think about GOD.miss yas,Moonlite

AF back on The Sportsman Channel?

Was just cruising thru the interactive TV Guide and setting up a few things to record on the DVR when I noticed AF was listed on TSC for 1 AM Thursday (2 AM for you guys in the Eastern Time Zone).

I have not seen anything from AF about returning to TSC (maybe I missed it).....is this true, or is TSC just trying to get my hopes up for more Rod Bending, Drag Screaming Television? I was just wanting to give a 'heads up' to those who may not get SunSports, but do have access to TSC if it is true.
