Power Pro, never use anythigng else sine I switched from mono, I get zero wind knots. The trick is to close your bail manually. I love it as I can fish heavy line and keep the small diameter, without it I would have lost countless snook in the lights and as it says in the commercial you can pull a fish back around a pilling with this stuff! I use 10 and 15lb now tho and get wrapped alot which makes it more fun, I got tired of having no fight what so ever.

i reason for the briaded lines getting wind knots its it is rougher and less round than mono or dyeena or what fireline, microfuse and ultracast it catches on its self and wraps around when this happens with slicker lines the line slides over its self and doesnt knot with braided lines the lines wraps around itself and causes it to knot its part of having braid that is less than 6 pound mono diam. ive used power pro, stren braid, spider wire, and suffix braid and ive found that stren and suffix do the best in smaller diam. they still get some knots but not as bad as the others i now use micro fuse in 10 pound test for light tackle and use power pro for heavy tackle 50 lb and up i havent had problems with pp 20 lb and up

I get wind knots with power pro, but thats when I am using 10# or less. When I use 15# and up I don't seem to get wind knots near as much, this seems to be the case with all braids for me....anything from spider, suffix, to power pro it dosen't seem to mater. I would have to say its a combination of line diamiter and how often you repack your spool. I find myself repacking my spool more often when using lighter lures then I do when casting heavier lures.

I definitly prefer power pro. I caught a 150+ pound shark off of 15 pound test. It is also finese enough for bass.

well im suprised at how many people like stren but hey everyone has their own opinions :)... powerpro is an amazing line for sure but suffix has soooo much better handling and almost 0 wind knots on spinning... however i do feel that powerpro is a little more abrasion resistant and stronger but i just cannot deal with the wind knots that i get nearly EVERY time i fish with lures with it... if you are a bait fisherman i would go for powerpro but those who prefer to throw lures like myself get suffix braid for sure try it once and you wont go back

I prefer the power pro, I get less wind knots and I can put on a much smaller diameter line and cast a mile.

In my opinion, Power pro is the best braid. Ive never felt smoother casting on a line like pp and i even spooled on my baitcaster... I use the 10 lb and i Uni to Uni to my leader or sometimes i use a shock. and rightknot one wat to know your walking the dog right is by the slack you have on your line.

To start off stren is a very good line. But as you get more advanced and you understand the comcepts of fishing and the way that power pro works, then thats when power pro really comes into hand. I have used both and i would highly recommend power pro. It has NEVER let me down

POWER PRO IS MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH BETTER THEN STREN! ive tried most of their lines over the years, but blair turned me to power pro, and im never goin back!

if taught, i can saw thro wood with the power pro braid, 20#*lb* till the abrasion takes its toll and snaps it

I would have to go with powerpro. The new phantom red is sweet and it is so durable and strong. maybe some 20lb flurocarbon for the rocks, but it is amazing.

I have tried power pro,stren super braid,sw ultracast and stealth. I think that the stren gets wraped around the rod tip to much and the power pro gets to many wind knots. But i like the sw ultracast and stealth havent had a break off at all and it casts a mile love it.But everyone has there oppinions.:)

I keep hearing this run your line through your fingers to get it tight on the spool but thats kinda a pain when your fishing a walk the dog style topwater as it must be fished w/ slackline to get the proper fishcatching action and who wants to waste a cast every 5 or6 cast to repack there line One day they will make a linethats manageable as mono but strog as powerepro and i cant wait

lol.........it sounds like to me that everyone has their favorite braid so my recommendation is too test them all out and see which one works for you. and also when your using braided line most wind knots happen at angler fault not the braid! if you have allot of slack use your fingers to wind it in tight. and try too manually close your bail it will help allot. anyway i have used every braid out there and i personally like power pro

i used to prefer power pro myself its durable and it lasts long, but ever since i respooled my reel with spiderwire supercast i have to say that powerpro doesn't even contest with it. trust me try spiderwire supercast.

I can't say I've tried every new trend in line that pops up on the market..... I can say that I'm catching lots of fish on P-Pro.... have been for over 7 years. I like the way it holds up in the environment that I fish in..... I like the fact it has never caused me any problems that weren't my own fault..... I like the fact that I can feel the nibble of little bait robbers as they peck away at my live bait..... I like the fact that I can feel a bite, set a hook, and reel in my fish.... even when I let my bait drift off on the current darn near to the end of the spool......

This fishing/boating hobby is expensive enough as it is..... if my tackle is doing what I need it to do, then I'm not going to go out and spend money re-spooling every time some new marketing campaign kicks off. My advise is spool up wiht whatever you think is best.... if it works for you, fish it till it stops working for you!

I prefer Power Pro, it is the best braided line out there. I have yet to try the Sufix braided line, but I still think that Power Pro will surpass Sufix.

I use powerpro i think its the best braid ever I tried stren it knotted up I only use 15 and 20 power pro and I use cape fear rods 168,70s 169,70s and 170,70s and pflueger contender spinning reels 7535 and 7540 reels. I have no problems with powerpro its the most dependable braid out there. Also fishmaster you dont know what the f... you are talking about power pro is the best spiderwire eats sh.. .

Use power pro and get the powerpro advantage.:cool:

Power Pro in my opinion is better. Suffix is indeed thinnder and casts beautifully but for the down and dirty structure fishing or with long running fish I'll have to say Power Pro. Power Pro is super-abraision resistant. I think Suffix lacks that.

After being out of the fishing game for 12 years due to living out of state I started fishing again at the open of Snook season. Having only been fishing for bass while I had been gone I didnt have the right line. Got broke off my first snook. The next day I over did it and got 40lb power pro which had the same diameter as 10lb mono. I was impressed with its casting ability. Must admit I lost alot of feeling but I think I went to heavy. Have only had one wind knot which is less than the peope I have fished with and they had mono. Gonna down size a bit but am sticking with power pro. Anyone have a preference with color?

I have used Power Pro for years, even before it was as advertised as it is now , But I recently switched to 10 pound Stren Super Brain , and I gotta tell ya , I am very impressed ! It is smoother casting than the PP, and nowhere near the wind knots under windy conditions, it will hold up as equally well as 15 or 20 pound PP.

Spider Wire aint worth the box they put it in (IMHO) That is the first braided line I had ever tried and kept getting broke off at the knot:angry:
