First was 2years ago, went to pine island sound for my b-day with a friend. Well we're all done fishing and my dad almost hits the seawall, so he mashes it into reverse, I'm on the bow to tie up and lose my balance, luckily i jump and land face first on the dock if not would've been in the water. </P><P>Then last summer went to mosquito lagoon, same thing coming in to fast but don't go into reverse instead smack the motorguide on my whaler into the dock and pop the top off of it. Two had no fricken clue what they were doing they fished alot but offshore only, me and my other freind fished alost entirely inshore. So we mess around and only get a ladyfish, one of my freinds austin gets a blow up on a top dog but he's never used a top water before and misses a huge snook, he had a fes snook on live mullet and jerkbaits but with 5 people in the boat it's kinda hard to set the hook without whacking someone even with circle hooks. So he go up a canal and we feel that cold winda and know it's going to open upand pour. we all get soaked. We're huddleing around the 90hp yamaha hugging the damn thing cause it's warm. We all cram ourselfs in my dad's truck after we get to the boat ramp and crank up the heat cause we're freezing. Then austin forgets how to get to his house and none of us know how to either. Luckily we had his home phone number so his dad told us how to get there. Well one of my freinds got a call from his gf took his phone outta his pocket and dropped it right into the indian river. We go back to school a 5 days later and she dumps him sayin "why wouldn't you answer ur phone?' I dropped it the the water he said. she could've cared less, for about a week he wa the biggest loser at school and everyone laughed at him and to this date he has ruined atleast 3 more phones from getting them wet. </P><P>another one, not really funny but it sucked, my dad uncle and I were in sugarloaf key for sportsmans lobster season, we check all our known spots he had on the gps all full o bugs. Next day leave the dock at 5:30 and head out get stuck on a flat for about three hours waiting for the tide to change, apparently the hurricanes had changed some of the channels. Dumb thing is instead of pushing the boat off we thought it ened soon nope pushed the boat about 1/4 mi into the middle of a grass flat 30min from the dock in the middle of florida bay, plus if we've been up on a plane we could've easily made it. Intsantly a bass took it and I had to reel it in without any guides, which felt weird. I got the fish at the waters edge and I put my rod back together. Sometimes trolling was the trick sometimes dipping minnows in the pads. It was the thing to have the longest pole so you could dip WAYYY OUTT there in those little tiny pockets. I had two bream busters at about 11' each and had rigged a huge whip antenna (20' probably) into a pole. I had bites, all three at one time, the two bream busters overboard, I held onto the antenna getting my fish. We are in a slow zone and I told them I'm gonna go pee off the back. Once I start to pee they think its funny 2 give it alot of gas. So im in a windbreaker overboard still peein but thats not the end. When we are in my friends canal i decide to toss a bait up under a dock. I stick my hand in the livewell and it had a SHORT so i got a bad shock! Next a boat called HIGH VOLTAGE passes by I got so mad... I was fishing with my young daughter in Shark River in Flamingo. She had just finished catching a trout and I released it for her and was on my knees cleaning my hands in the water looking back at her and congratulating her. All of a sudden a porpoise(dolphin) comes up right next to my hands. For a split second I thought I was loosing my hands to a shark. I turned as white as a ghost and actually felt as though I was going to be sick. It happened so quickly and unexpectedly. This area is known for the Bull sharks that come up to your boats and rob you of your catch sometimes. That experience will live with me forever and it has definitely changed the way I release fish now.
