Plus gulp is expensive, epecially since it drys up on me after one use, maybe the alive is better. Also i have caught many snook on gulps however, live bait is the best i believe, for snook. i def reccommend gulps over any other soft plastics. all you need to do is put it on a 1/8 -16 jighead and either dead stick it or bounce it off the bottom. and you will have some fun.<br><br>good luck :DWed, 29 Oct 2008 13:56:26 GMTbackwater bandithttp://www.addictivefishing.com/forum/Topic14738-3-1.aspxeverytime ive fished it ive lost half the bait within 10 casts.......damn puffers and other little fish that just nibble.....i can see it being a great bait for sight casting fish, but i wont use it again to locate the fish.....Mon, 30 Jun 2008 14:59:42 GMTpsj nickhttp://www.addictivefishing.com/forum/Topic14738-3-1.aspxI think the reason you tend to think doa shrimp produce more larger fish than gulp is because so many smaller fish will go after the gulp while they wouldnt go after the doa, therefore in a situation where there are numerous small fish and a few larger ones with them (trout would probably be the best example) i would use the doa so i wouldnt have to deal with the rats as much... doa used to be all i used for close to a year, then gulp came out and i rarely go back except in certain situations... saturday around 8:00 pm i landed a 38 in snook on a gulp shrimp, and then 4 more between 16-22 while my friend fishing with me using a doa throwing in the exact same holes caught nothing but jacks and a ladyfish.. i havnt been fishing for 400 years but at least in my experience gulp has treated me much better :DMon, 30 Jun 2008 14:46:22 GMTNSBfishinghttp://www.addictivefishing.com/forum/Topic14738-3-1.aspxgood bait! works every timeTue, 18 Mar 2008 14:27:35 GMTscfishrmanhttp://www.addictivefishing.com/forum/Topic14738-3-1.aspxUse gulp a lot and at least give it a try at every spot. 1/4 jig head and 3 in. bodies(i like shrimp) and any color will do the job most likely.
