it has got thread and lead wire in the hooks shank.it is quitr expensive and u can only make about 8flies from one sheet.but it works well

i would not consider the gummy minnow to even be a fly.. more like a lightweight lure .. i would call it a jerkbait on a flyrod..

it should at least have a piece of thread on it which it doesnt to be a fly..

they work well very easy to make... material is not cheap though..

if u have the material,take a strip of silver,stick it round the hook.shape it like a minnow.put a small thin strip of green on the back and trim.put a larger piece of pearl over everything en trim.its important not to pull or stretch to get it straight otherwise it will disform an not swim straight.thats the trick

Bill Jackson's is about the only place for tying material in St. Pete. There's a couple of places over in tampa if you wanna make the drive.

i caught a nother snook last night on a gummy minnow.(20").they work really well but their $5 each.and if ur fishing snook under docks then ur gonna lose some flies.so i tied my first gummy yest and their not as hard to tie as everyone says,has anyone ever tried tying one?im also looking for a place to buy fly tying materials in st.pete?
