I like it but then again I do not have alot to compare it to. I also have an orvis power matrix and I like it just the same but the TFO was about 3 times as cheap.

RE: Fly Rod

orvis has some nice combos out right now thats will arrive at your door virtualy ready to fish... just add a fly...

http://www.orvis.com/store/group.asp?dir_id=758&Group_ID=2616&shop_id=2562

take a look at the clearwater and tls...

RE: Fly Rod

I have used Scott rods( A2, and SAS) for the salt and really like them, but I bought a 9ft 4pc 8wt Winston IBIS off ebay and it has become my favorite. Not too fast, or slow, just right for me. But my casting has been described as looking like " an old lady trying to kill a bee with a broomhandle"!

I got the Scott rod(SAS) at the Flyfisheman in Titusville, Fl when they were being discontinued. Both the SAS and the Ibis cost right around 180.00. Hope this helps....
