You guys are really going to enjoy a new AF show called "Willies World" airing on FSN on July 15. Capt. Blair heads down to Key West to battle the wind and a permit on fly on the flats. The weather did not cooperate, but the show is about determination. In the end . . . let's just say it has a happy ending! :D

Absolutely Incredible! Luck has something to do with fishing, but you sir got skill to boot.

Incredible fish. I can't imagine what a fun fight that would be on the fly rod.

yes its true!!! what a great day...sat and waited out the tides and put in 3 hrs until things started to happen...got new line for my 10wt this week just to help with more distance and also using 16ft leader...it was picture perfect and I cast and it was a bulleye...about 6ft in ft of it..I counted to 7 and then I knew it was on the bottom...I seen the permits sickle start to quiver and I knew he was looking at the fly...I tugged it slightly and I felt it in the grass so I lowered my rodtip in the water and really dug it in like a burying crab would do...the permit slammed it like a jackhammer and did a sommersalt right on top of it...I stripped hard and planted the hook....SON!!!!...action filled fight with me taking a Biscayne Bay Sleigh Ride for about a 1/4 mile...finally gained some line back and was able to pole with one hand and fight the fish with the other...thankfully the wind was blowing me back to the mangroves...tough battle and a sweet victory
