They are lighter than a trolling motor and two batts and mwill push you a little faster. The good news is, the bottom half of the boat is coated in Line-X and for the top half I plan to change the color and wrap it in vinyl. I have two deep cycle batteries. one for just in case. Does pretty good at getting around too.
