Find yourself a kayak/canoe outfitter in your area. I'm sorry I'm not familiar with your are so I can't help you out with that part of it. It might still seem expensive because kayaks hold their value well but you will get a complete setup already rigged and ready to go.

Be careful asking for a "cheap" kayak because there are some boats on the market in the bigger sporting good chain stores that are nothing more than a piece of plastic that floats (for a while). Stay with the brand names that have been in the market for a while. Ocean Kayak, Wilderness Systems, Heritage, Hurricane, etc.

Where are you located? I might know of a kayak community in your area for you to check into.

RE: Help.......

check on ebay or dicks sporting goods

http://cgi.ebay.com/Sunchaser-I-Single-Seat-Sit-Inside-Fishing-Kayak-New_W0QQitemZ290142699064QQihZ019QQcategoryZ36122QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

thats one for 200.00

Help.......

Ok, I'm intrested in buying a Kayak, the only problem is like most people, MONEY!!!!!!!
