How much would a new prop cost? At one time I had a Yamaha 15 hp motor that had a spun prop. I took it to get it fixed and was told that it would cost about $50 to $60. I got a new prop for that amount. from this place http://boatpropellers.iboats.com/?cart_id=213744950&session_id=803420931

RE: respinning props

i took my boat 2 days out after it got respun, started spinnin all over again, didn't hit ground, wasn't a bad day. and they never printed a recipt, or said anything, im not goin back there. but now that its spinnin again, i have ideas of gettin a shearpin prop, is that possible on a rubber inside thing prop?

RE: respinning props

I'm not sure what the going rate on something like that would be, but $45 doesn't sound to bad and you got it done the same day. I used to have the Briggs outboard that had that same type of rubber bushing and it was around $45 for a new one straight from Briggs.

Glad to hear that your up and running again though.

RE: respinning props

i pulled out the phone book and called them, drove out there, they had it fixed in 15 mins, but i think i got a lil swindled, they charged me 45, but im not sure.

RE: respinning props

Not in Brevard, but off Hwy 50. Halls Props is in the X-Mass area, they have been there for what seems like decades and they would be the place to go. They do all kinds of prop repair and I wouldn't see why they wouldn't be able to fix yours.

respinning props

anybody know of any places in brevard county that respin props, i have a prop with a rubber insert that'll act as a shear pin on my prop, and i know it can be fixed, but i normally have to send it out for 2 weeks and wait for it to come back, but i wanna fish now. lol. any tips would be appreciated.
