I haven't used it yet but made some casts off the seawall to check it out. It looks pretty good.

I usually go with Mirrolure but the local tackle shop is out of the MirroLip. I use them for Tarpon. The Yozuri had to have the hooks replaced cause those little whimpy things would not hold up against the torture I have in store. The only problem with replacing hardware is now the bait has a different action. It used to suspend but now it sinks. It shouldn't make a difference in the way I use it though. We will see.

RE: Yozuri 3D Minnows?

The small 3D is a great beach snook bait. It's pretty simple to make it look like the real thing. The most important thing on working it right is figuring out if the fish are aggressively feeding or just laying in wait for something to swim by. If they are real aggressive try a twitch, twitch, pause kind of action. Vary the amount of twitches between the pause but make sure you give the bait a moment to just float there. Many fish will eat it at that time while it is just floating there. If the fish are real lethargic try a slow crank and let the lure's wobble do the work. Toss it out, crank it till it hits the bottom then slow it way down. This will give optimum time in the strike zone. Another good bait would be the DOA mullet or terroreyz. A fly rod and clouser would do the trick also. Good luck.

Yozuri 3D Minnows?

Just picked up a yo zuri 3D minnow TM- clear minnow, ive heard some good things about it as far as using it on the beach fishing snook.
