Just cast it out and let it drift through productive areas. Let the shrimp sink to the bottom and pop it out of the holes or grass then let it fall again. Sounds like a good spot to hold trout, but no way to guarantee big fish. I can tell you right now here in St. Petersburg 4'-6' deep grass is holding tons of trout. Fishing last week in Ft. Pierce the big fish were in 1'-3', caught 6 over 5lbs and 1 about 8lbs. Give your spot a shot at different times of the year and see which water temp concentrates the bigger fish there.
