I have 6 team daiwa Tierra reels 1-2500, 4-3000's and 1-4000.

They are super nice reels that will last a long time and you can cast them a mile long with 15# braid. If I was you I would get 2 3000's and 1 4000. We use the 3000's for casting to the mangroves with lures and we use the 4000's size reels for live baits under the mangroves and docks. They are not much over 100 bucks and well worth the money..

shimano stradic FH. Or daiwa tierra i use both heavily and all work great.

If you are looking to spend a bit more go for the stradic mgfa or new FI

definately i would go with the daiwa tierra great reels.

i have two of them 1500 and 2500,both spoled with power pro.

use them in saltwater and they are sweet for what u pay for them.:)

Neither the Sahara 59.99 or the Symetre 79.99 are saltwater rated/designed reels, although they perform very well if ya take care of them. I have several Saharas and had a Symetre that my son took ownership of.. 3 years of use in fresh and salt and all are still kicking. Work as well asn any other reel with braid. Care fresh water wash down after every use, once a year I tear them down thuroughly clean and lube. There is a weak link in the Sahara in the bail mechanism, its a simple plastic peice that breaks and the bail will not function. Have not seen it fail in the Symetre, but it is the same design.

The Spheros is salt water rated/designed was 79.99 is supposedly bulletproof. The weak link on the original Speros seems to be the line roller bearing and gets noisy if you take shortcuts on the fresh water wash down. The Spheros is physically heavier than an equiv. Sahara or Symetre. Shimano just upgraded, maybe better, that reel and also raised the price. They also released an upgrade in the salt water line the Saragosa, priced in the range of the Stradic 139.99 -159-99, that has salt water rated/designed Saros/Stradic features.

Don't have one, but the Diawa Tierra, around 110 bucks seems to also perform well and get some good reviews.

quantum cabo 40 you can get them on ebay for about 120 its a 180 reel saltwater ready and they hold up great they are on the heavy side but the are a reel saltwater reel they cast smooth and reel smooth have a ceramic drag and titanium bail and magentic clutch no spring to wear out ive been using mine for 4 years now and havent had a problem you can get parts for them and if they need work they will send the reel back in 24 ours from the factory so you dont have alot of down time.

the shimano symetry would be an awsome reel for what your looking for!;)

shimano spheros are the best reals for 80$ - 100$
i have 1 and i love it! for a 4500 i have the shimano baitrunner which is also an awesome reel for 110$

hey guys im looking to buy a few new spinning reels, 3 to be exact i want a 2000, a 2500, and a 4000. im looking to spend around 100$ for each one and i want some that will last awhile and not wair out on me in a couple months. i fish in saltwater
