Now that I fish almost exclusively topwater I pound the trout, reds and snook with any of the "dog" series lures.

Not bad or a company that got it's start making gold clubs.

By the way the sons of the guy who invented Mirrolures live over in Tampa and are two of the best guides you have ever seen. We have known each other quite a while and they can put you on fish like nobody's business. Their last name is Batnik.

RE: Mirrolures

Agree about the rave reviews for the Mirrodine and (especially) the MirroMinnow. For many years my staple Everglades lure was the Mirrolure 7M, but these new lures have essentially replaced them in my tackle box. Fished correctly (and that's the key with these baits, since the angler imparts all the action), they are peerless shallow water plugs.

For those who are interested, here's a review on the MirroMinnow:

http://shallowfish.com/2007/12/review-mirrolure-mirrominnow/
RE: Mirrolures

Down here, the mirrodine is an amazing snook bait. I use the chartreuse and it plain catches fish. Great bait for blind casting in off colored water. In Flamingo, it is amazing. Looks like a pilchard.

Also I saw in a post that they were just over $6. I cant find them for less than $7.50

I have only had limited success with the mirromullet although it looks amazing and is a very subtle topwater.( in contrast to a skitter walk)

I like those DOA glow shrimp on sight casted snook and reds in clear water up on the bights. That and flappin shads.

RE: Mirrolures

I've used the white bait looking mirr-o-dine (with the lime green back) and the dark green back one and caught my biggest redfish, trout, jacks, ladyfish, snook (love this) and some other stuff on that little thing. Second cast, got a trout. Plenty of trout later, and plenty of ladyfish it still is holding up great. I even hooked up on a Pompano with it! Most everyone that responded to it had great luck with the Mirrodine. I bought the #18 - Green Back, Pearl Belly. I have only used it twice with no success, I am a creature of habit though. I tend to stick to my jerk baits and Cracker11 got me hooked on the Johnson Sprite spoons now. One of these days I will remember that little gem in my tackle box and tie her on again and give it another whirl. Until then I'll keep on tiering them up with my old faithfulls.

RE: Mirrolures
krash (11/8/2007)

Angler Systems (11/7/2007)

wademan (11/6/2007)
hey ya Mirrolure is coming out with a new lure called Mirro Mullet. I think its a good redfish/trout bait this time of year throught spring. I like the twitch-n-rap a lot better for snook. It flutters when it stops, and snook love it. I was given a couple of the new MirroMullets, there decent. There very quiet, have 1 small rattle and work very low to the surface. They work well on dead calm days were a louder spook seems to scare off fish in shallow water.

RE: Mirrolures
wademan (11/6/2007)
hey ya Mirrolure is coming out with a new lure called Mirro Mullet. Its a small topwater that it looks like its going to be great!!:D My dad uses a rapala twich n rap and i use a mirrolure mirrodine and i out fish him like 3 to 1. So try some therrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre GREAT!!!!!:D the reason why i use the mirrodine instead of the other ones is because were i fish in the intercoastal i need something that floats and yes i do have the mirrominnows but they seem to like the shad shape better. I find the mirrodines at a store called Academy they have all the colors, wallyworld has like only two but they work. So tie one on and go fishin

Fish to live, Live to fish.

RE: Mirrolures

i use the mirrodine it works really well, i have in a black back with pearl body. i have also used the mirrominnow in black and silver and it works just as well, for reds and trout. i think mirrolure is coming out with something called a mirror mullet.

RE: Mirrolures

Its not a new lure ive had the mirrordine 17mr twitchbait for about 6 months now ;)

RE: Mirrolures
wademan (11/5/2007)
The lure is called a MirroDine from Mirrolure i have caught the following fish off of it : redfish, trout, GROUPER!!, and many more.
