Sebastian Inlet is a great place to look for those 40" Snook, but it`s a tough Inlet to fish, you loose alot of Tackle and Fish to the Rock`s and Extream Current`s. Concentrate your fishing time to an Hour before,to an hour after the Out-Going Tide starts,I prefere the South Jetty,Inlet Side, about halfway from the Bridge to the end of the jetty,Live or Lure it doesn`t much matter,if the fish are there, they`ll eat about anything.

Right now there is a Mullet Run going on,all the mullet come out of the backcountry, come out of the Inlet`s,then head South down the coast for warmer water`s,so there are a lot of Mullet in the Surf, give that a try when the current is Ripping through the Inlet, Find a Pod of Mullet, and throw a Free=lined Mullet in with them.....People Catch King`s and Poon`s from the Beach this time of year, along with Snook and Red`s .

At the start of the Incoming Tide, move to the South Side Cleaning Table area, use Green Flair Jig`s or Finger Mullet to find Snook and Big Flounder.

The Best Tide Changes are Very Early Morning or Very Late at night

Bait`s: Pin-fish can be cought with Small hook and a small piece of shrimp or Cast-Net behind the Boat Ramp on the South Side

Greenies or Mullet can be cought with Cast-Net in the Inlet or Surf.

Croaker`s and Majorha work the best, but can be hard to find.

Lures: "Brown Dog" Terror Eyes,Jumbo DOA Shrimp,Buck-Tail`s,WindCheater`s,Bomber Long A,Gulp Crab`s,Storm Wild-Eye Swim Bait`s

But the best advice I could give you is Spend lot`s of time looking at what the guy`s in the White Rubber Boot`s are doing, they are usualy the Local`s,they`ll show up about the time the Tide Changes, they`ll most likely be the one`s catching the snook.......Pay attention to thier Rig`s,weather they`re useing Bait`s Or Lures, how far they are casting, thier Retrive, weather the fish are hitting in close or ferther out, because these are the guy`s that have put thier day`s and night`s in finding these fish, many times catching nothing, but it seem`s when they show up,so do the snook

Good Luck

Excellent information! Just want to add one more thing. Right now the L shaped dock on the south side just west of the bridge is hot at the end of out going. Most guys are throwing flair tail hawks almost to the channel. Tuesday night i went out for the end of outgoing for flounder. I found no flounder, however I did bag a 43" absolute slob snook on a 3/8 oz cottee jig and a green soft plastic. I was in my boat just about straight out from the L dock. On 10lb spinning gear she was quite a handful.

goodluck

Al

I was using 25-30lb flouro as I was catching reds at the time. They usually get me also(break off) when they swallow a small jig. I was just lucky he was hooked just right.

Very nice snook, great job. Was that video taken with a helmet cam? Also was that a canoe you were fishing out of? It seemed very stable.
