| | I am wanting to buy a hand held GPS but am looking for some hands on info on them.Id like one with mapping i like to fish Flamingo,Chukalooskee,Okeechobee whats a good user friendly unit??? thanks |

| Garmin. If you are going to invest in one - put an extra couple of bucks in and get the GPSMAP 76CS. You'll be glad you did after the first shock of $$$ . If my boat didn't have an electronics box I'd have one.

| | I agree. I have the GPSMAP 60, which is the black and white version of the 76CS. Cheaper than the 76CS, but I'm not sure they make it anymore. Strong signal (even in the woods), simiple enougth to use, and a pretty rugged unit. Mine took a swim in the gulf last summer and still works. |
