| irl jeff (8/6/2008) the puffers r almost everywhere, except mosquito lagoon and the port.LOL , did you just say that the Puffers aren't in Mosquito Lagoon? You must have typed that wrong, the puffer to reds percentage is 10 to 2 at the whale tail. They're everywhere, south side to the north end of the lagoon. Anyways, you can use the shrimp pre rigged, through the nose with a circle or "J" hook, weightless for some top water action, weedless for the groves, or with a jig head and bounce them off the bottom. The weight will all depend on the depth of water your fishing. As for the Puffers, its an expensive treat for a them, but you can do the ol' snip and splice trick. Save all of your cals, jerks, and shrimp that have chunks taken out of them and cut off the bad end with a good razor blade and piece them together with some super glue. You can get pretty funky with your color combinations. I like a watermelon/chart. combo myself.
