| FINALLY getting the chance to post the vacation report from July 12th - 20th!
didn't get all the pics but got a few!
anyways, we decided to stay down in the Gasparilla town houses this year right next to the Marina! What a spot! absolutely beautiful! We had a lot of fun!
We got there on the 12th which was a saturday. Fished everyday and got a few really nice fish to eat, most fish were caught on pinfish/ladyfish chunks others were caught on ole faithful.....top pup!!!......
First day i just kind of came across a hole that looked pretty good, so i chunked up a pin, threw 3 pieces in for chum and hooked one piece, and BAM almost as soon as it hit the water i brought out this nice 19" red!
The next day i took my sister out because she was dying to catch a red, well she didn't end up catching a red but she ended up with a really nice trout! I ended up with a red that was 23" and a nice gag that was 24"
The next day my step brother was begging me to take him, so i decided to be a nice big brother and take him a a spot that i had been having some nice reds hit! He ended up with a red that was 27" on the mark, i checked it 3 times to make sure! he was Ecstatic! lit up his world! I ended up with a 25" red in the same hole!
My step dad, his 2 little boys and I decided to try out catfish creek in a hole he had been having some good trout action in......my 2 little brothers whipped up on us with a total of 7 trout and a couple magrove snapper!
Decided to invite my cousin Brad down for some of the action we were having, so i took him to a spot that i had never been to, to see if i could chum a few up! luckily we got on some! These were his first ever reds! friday morning he caught 2 (I was not even fishing, i was too busy chumming and helping out....playing the "guide")
his first ever red was 19 and a half inch and the second was 24" so he was hooked!
Took him again on saturday morning and had some more luck in that some hole with a 26 and a 1/4 inch red that went 7-1/2 number!!! he was a perfect tournament fish! well fed!
We had such a blast!
i will def. be back down here as soon as i can get a break from work!!!!
I thank the Lord for blessing us with all of the fish we caught and keeping us all safe!!! |
