I was wondering what yalls opinions are of carolina lunker sauce, and other similar fish attractants. Are they as effective as they claim to be?

Thanks for any input.

I use Lunker Sauce and I swear by it. I do however only use the gel/hard bait formula no matter if I'm using soft plastic's or hard baits.

Do you apply the lunker sauce to the bait before casting it? Or is there a special preparation.

Before, apply it at least 30 seconds before casting. The longer the better, I think the bottle say's 2 or 3 minutes. The longer its on the bait before it hits the water the better the scent can soak in to the plastic.

Believe it or not, while the scent helps attract some fish, I think it's other function is MORE important, keeping YOUR scent off the bait, or at least covering it up. Fish are pretty smart, and when you think about it, we really handle our artificial baits a lot before trying to present it to them. If they can smell an applied scent, they can surely smell us LOL. Either way an artificial scent like lunker sauce, increases your chances, but don't forget about all the other things like color, sound, reflection, and overall presentation ETC.

Good luck ,

Mike

Lunker Sauce all the way!!

Whenever I apply it on my soft baits (DOA Shadtails) i lather it up in the stuff.  I even put some on the jig head ( probly dosnt help) but you get my point.    It really increases the catch or if the bite is slow.
