Well... Garry has been going out to his "secret spot" all this past week, and leaving with 5 or 6 fish with every couple hour visit.  So to prove that I am NOT unlucky, I decided to go out with him and sport my new shirt I got (also our new sticker!).

We tried his first spot with no luck.  We moved to his next spot and I ended up with 3 reds!!

And Garry caught one.... which was the biggest at 30''.

We caught all the fish within about 30 minutes.  We decided to take a little drive and head up to patillo creek for a little while.  We  found some neat little back creeks and things, but only made out with one sweet trout (that I caught  ).

Was a great day!!!  I have a new lucky fishing shirt!!

  I out-fish Garry!

I know your spot is a secret.. but any advice as to where I should try tomorrow in the lagoon?  I have a boat that will pole in 8 inches of water and am prepared to catch reds if I can just find them  I am new to htis type of fishing. I sold my bass boat a few months ago and am trying to learn this new style of fishing.  I appreciate any help I can get.  I have seen y'alls posts before and you both seem to know what you are doing.

thanks for any help at all

Hmmm... I'm not really an expert on the lagoon... NIRL is more my thing...  But If you go out to Beacon 42 boat ramp you can probably find some fish out around there...

It's on SR 3.  If you go north on US1 and hit SR 3, it's a few miles down the road on the left.  You'll see a sign.
