| | I just finished building my new trout /rat red rod.I had an old 8 weight fly rod sitting around I didnt use so I put it to good use.I cut the rod down to 7ft 9in. and rebuilt it as a spinning rod. put on a 2500 series reel and 8# p.p. Test casted it in the yard.It will cast a 1/4 oz. jig a pretty good way.So if you got an old fly rod you dont use or with a broken tip recycle it and build it the way you want it. |
