| | What a fun day! I'll post a pic, but the other 14 are on Yahoo for your viewing pleasure. I thought that 15 on the board would be a little much! There was a marvelous turnout. I didn't get the final tally, but I know they were prepared for 300 young anglers. There were was a booth on conservation, one on knot tying, one on tackle, one on the underwater ecosystem, and one on casting practice ( am I forgetting anything? ). Then we headed for the pier. On the way to the pier, the youth received their free rods, scored some hotdogs and sodas, and were given a cup of shrimp each, with instructions on how to dispose of their unused shrimp, properly ( on YEAH...like THAT was going to happen!!! Momma NEEDS some shrimp! lmao). Half-Hitch Tackle had kindly chummed the pier early that morning, in preparation for the event, so you can imagine the underwater frenzy we came upon. I am actually surprised that the kids weren't breaking rods on some serious fish! It was just past peak high tide!!! According to Orien's "research", in the myriad paperwork they were given, they were catching blue runners. Does that sound right? Orien caught one, and after Mason and a new friend got bored and walked off ( to get their free ice cream ), I caught one on his rod! LOL By then, it was nearly noon. We were burning alive, so we decided to pack it in. As we left, the boys recieved a small tackle kit with a variety of items, and all sorts of really helpfull pamphlets and flyers, including certificates. I guess they are bonafide anglers, now! hehe Here is a pic of Phillip, Orien and Mason with FWC Officer Jeff Gager...
Oh yeah...here's the link to the other pics... http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/stephn3boyz/album?.dir=497cscd Here is the Polaroid they took of Orien and the fish he caught...

| | Ok, try the link now, MF. I change the privacy settings. Now everyone on the planet can see them! LOL And, go down to this topic... Reposting Redfishers topic I posted the whole chart with the contact numbers. They can give you the local contact number. That's how I got it.
