| | I really like the new Hoyt line, The Vectrix and the Vulcan are definitly worth lookingat. They are basically overhauled tykons, which have a great reputation. The Mathews Drenalin and Sitchback are definitly top of the line bows with a well established company backing them. If you dont mind spending $1200 in a set up, this is the way to go. I just dont like the fact that everyone has one. Mathews has now branched out and started the mission line which has several bows that are very nice and significantly cheaper the x3-x5 are all nice bows. Bowtech ahs come out with the commander and guardian, from what i heard these bows are lightning fast and super quiet. I have yet to shoot one though. If i was going to go with a bowtech i would stick with a classic like the Allegiance. This bow shoots as fast as any of the new models, and feels amazing. Bear and browning both have new models out that are definitly worth taking a look at too. The browning illusion and the bear code and instinct are their top of the line. PSE has dumped a huge amount of money into marketing its new X-force. I have shot it and while it is smooth out of the box, i doubt how long it would stay that way. Its seems to be of poorer construction than the other top of the line bows and wouldnt reccomend it to my worst enemy. As for me im still shooting my old Jennings custom, but i try to shoot everything that comes out. If i had the money i would have a decked out Vulcan though. Hoyts can be heavy, but are super stable and very well built bows. |
