| Well, to start I am new to this forum. I figured I would post a couple pics of our trip up to Cedar Key. This is Mariah's first Red! She was very excited! She didn't care that it wasn't a keeper. Aren't kids great!!

This is my first Black Drum. What a blast! Very exciting to see a drum tailing in 3 feet of water. I tossed a live shrimp just past him and slowly worked it over him. He hit it and it was on.
I'll try to keep up with some pictures and reports in the future.

| Cool man!! My main fishing hole is Steinhatchee... not too far from Cedar Key.
I once had a bad day of fishing, but it was still great! CHB: the few, the proud, the chosen |

| She just loves fishing. The first time I took her fishing she caught 17 fish and was just loving it. It was early march at the tampa power plant. She caught 14 cats, 2 stingrays, and a cow nose ray. I had to help a little with the rays. After that day she was HOOKED!

One weekeend we took her out in a kayak, and now she can't get enough of that. It doesn't matter if she doesn't catch a thing. She just has a great time.
As far as Cedar Key, I loved it there. I would like to visit there again sometime. I couldn't believe all of the Drum tailing is 3 feet of water. I just wish I would have had live bait the first day. Next time I will know how to get more of them. It was windy all weekend, and the morning we left there was no wind at all. Go figure.
Tomorrow we are going to Fort Desoto. Hopefully we can get into some snook, reds, and trout. We'll see. I'll keep you all posted. |

| I sure hope you had some of those Great Cedar Key oysters while you were there. We used to fly up every other week and bring some home. Yummy!
