| Boat in the water 1/2hour before sun-up,ran a couple miles South,down the West Shore,Polled into a foot of water......Mullet as far as you could see,Rena was useing a Top-Water Popper,and I was on Spoon Duty.....She had a few Monster Slam`s on her Popper but none stuck,then the Dink`s turned on for a little while,and at about 8:00am,everything shut down,boat`s started showing up all over.....Run in with thier motor,stay just long enough to spook every fish in the area....Then Leave ..............by 9:00 we were alone again,then I started seeing single Red`s about 30",on the edge of the Pot-Holes in 1 1/2' of water,switched to a DOA Shrimp then a Spoon drug through the same holes,turned the head of one red that just took my spoon.....Fish are very Spooky,but if you have a Power Pole,and can drift that area very very slow,throwing Small Live Bait`s way out in front of you onto the Pot-Hole`s can land you an Upper Slot to just over Redfish.......But dead bait will surly get you a Catfish,the place is over-run with themLadyfish in the cut next to the shore .......Gold Spoon`s.......picked up a few lady`s for my trip up to Tamoka Basin tomorrow........Great Cut Bait !

| Nice report. Tomoka is not too far from where I am fishing on the ICWW. I ventured my furtherst south Saturday on the ICWW when we fished to the 100 Bridge South of Palm Coast. We tried some new spots with not much luck, but our old snook area produced action and I came within feet of losing my VSB status..... DANG THOSE GILLPLATES!!!!
I once had a bad day of fishing, but it was still great! CHB: the few, the proud, the chosen |

| | Virgin Snook Boy.....VSB ? Yeah,we`re going to try Tamoka Basin,I tried it a few month`s ago,but the whole area was flooded,included the Road`s,so we came back home without fishing.........Should be down low enough to get the boat in.......High Tide Falling early this morning.......Looking for two nice red`s,one for dinner,and one for the GGT........A Poon Early would be nice also Good luck in your journey this week-end !
