| Where would the best spot to go find tarpon off the beaches? And do you just sit and wait four or them to roll. And once you spot them you troll in front of them. Need help finding them!

| | Go about 1/2 mile off the beaches and just start cruising, looking for them rolling. Once you find them rolling, put the trolling motor down, get infront of them and throw a good sized thread or crab infront of the poons, and wait. Hopefully they'll nail it... |

| i was hoping to see alot of replys here... i am new to tarpon fishing (havent done it) and would love to see some good info posted. thanks for a start trootin... any more tarpon experts out there?

| Tarpon are here, and there everywhere. Fished today off the beach for snook, and couldnt help but to throw a bait at one. I saw at least 10 schools of poons. I hooked one around 100# on a Catch 2000, but he broke me off after a few jumps. Now is the time to get em. BTW, did land a bunch of snook too. |
