so i loaded up the yak and went fishing....
here is the yak ready to go (actually i took this at the end of the trip)

the yak is an incredible fishing machine... i can travel miles in it with 5 rods rigged and ready to go... i have all the tackle and accessories that i can ask for... i launched at the end of manatee ave b4 the bridge to anna maria island...i traveled north to the entrance of perico bayou... then south east to palma sola bay... west to the icw and then north to the bridge... check on google earth to see the area i traveled.. its a good paddle and the longest yet for me.... on the way i managed a few snook and a good buzz... the snook were small but they got rid of the skunk i have been smellin of... i did see some mangrove lines that were poppin but they didnt produce for me... i threw ark glow cals there and gold glitter shrimp... but niether produced... i would drift the line with one lure then drift it again with another... the whole time i would see pops in areas i just passed... the whole line was alive but just not liking what i offered.... i trolled a gold spoon for the most part of perico bayou and stopped to cast at wakes but with no success...
i hit palma sola bay and worked the mangroves and oyster bars with no luck at all... although i was happy it was high tide or else i would have had some more scratches on the bottom of my yak,,,
i hit the icw and worked some more mangroves and the islands there but just didnt see any movement... i paddeled back to the bridge and after many hours in the yak i was happy to load up and drive home...

Vlap,

Since you are an Supreme Being maybe you can answer this question for me does color of your yak matter?  I have seen every color under the rainbow, but like yours does that have a black bottom?

nope... i think the shadow line makes it look so... its the same color all around.... i dont think the color of a yak matters really... just personal preferance... although i do think a color like yellow may be more visible to boaters.
