| With Power Pro you can get by using 20lb test.....equal to about 8lb mono I think....then go with a 20-30lb Flourocarbon uni to uni....just got back into the game a few months ago and this seems to be fine from what I have used
A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work !!! |

| | I almost exclusively use 10 lb PowerPro and 20 lb florocarbon leader. It casts much easier/farther on my reels than 20 lb PP (10 lb is = to 2 lb mono diameter).....but.....if I get into trouble or run into the bigger bulls, I do have a spare spool for each of my reels with 20 lb PowerPro, just in case. Just so you know, here a few fish that Trim-Tab caught from my boat while fishing with 10 lb PowerPro:

(admittedly, I can't do it and have to use higher test when they are this big, but he caught 4 redfish over 40 inches one night using 10 lb PowerPro. You need patience and a smooth drag to catch bulls like these on 10 lb, and I lack the patience). chumhead

| | 10-15 pound power pro......20-25 pound flurocarbon leader. I use the 10/20 on medium light spinning gear for all my jig type fishen and the 15/25 on medium spin gear when fishing with topwater plugs.
I once had a bad day of fishing, but it was still great! CHB: the few, the proud, the chosen |
