labor of love

The first Monday of September is dedicated to the American worker and having the day off allows us to reflect on our social and economic achievements. To some, it’s that one last 3-day weekend to close out the summer. So, enjoy this last hurrah as it will be a long 80 days until our next observed holiday. And for our fans who have ended up on the unfortunate side of this economic tailspin, hang strong and make the best of every day.

The Addictive Fishing crew will be working hard this weekend in Daytona. The gang will be hanging out at the Grand Opening of Dick’s Sporting Goods. They’ll have free AF stuff, money saving coupons from DSG and Star brite. Don’t forget to purchase a bottle of Star brite’s Limited Edition Blair’s Boat Wash to make your donation to Project Snook. Be the first on your block to own one of the new Wright & McGill Blair Wiggins signature series rods. The new signature series rods with S-Curve technology will hit the shelves first at this event. Expect to find them in other DSGs around Florida later this month. Come hang out with the Mogan Man this Sunday, 11 am to 4 pm at the new Dick’s Sporting Goods in Daytona.

Addictive Fishing is proud to announce a new sponsor to the lineup this week. Please help us welcome Mariners Learning System to the AF Family! Check it out if you are interested in getting your “six pack” license, and find out how to enjoy the learning experience at your own pace from the comfort of your comfy computer chair. Mariners Learning Systems has taught over 15,000 students with a 98.7% exam pass rate. Do the math! Check out our new sponsor piece in the News section or visit Mariners Learning System online.

Man, can this kid catch fish or what? Zach Jones has graced our Facebook page with his presence once again with a kick-butt redfish. After a short fishing trip to loosen up, Zach took to the field to kick more butt in his Pop Warner football game. For bashin’ reds and heads all in the same afternoon, this is a well deserved Mogan of the Week! If you have a Mogan catch that you want to show off, post it to our fan page or upload it to the Mogan Gallery on the AF web site.

Needing a day off,
