Turning the Page

The official first day of spring is not until next weekend but we decided that we are going to start celebrating a little early. It’s time to start a new chapter with the changing of the clocks and, finally, some global warming this week. It has been months since some of us have seen the water so Addictive Fishing declares this to be “Go catch a Mogan” weekend!

Many anglers in the Tampa area were torn between taking advantage of the nice weather and going to the outdoor expo. Those that attended the expo loaded up on deals to restock the tackle box. The Mogan Man made sure fishermen from far and near respooled with FINS; the right line for the job. Start the new season off with a fresh spool of FINS and see the difference for yourself.

The Dirty Dog adventures continue! Feeling left out of last week’s story, Rocco had to get his mug back in the limelight. It was an interesting call to the public library when Patrice had to explain, “My dog ate my books.” It’s only March and already Patrice has enough short stories to write her own book. By the end of the year she’ll be ready to put together a novel! Oh, to be a flea on that hound.

Zach Jones shows off his extracurricular activities this week. After spending a day with his nose in the books at school, Zach was rewarded for his studies by bagging a beautiful redfish using a Mirrolure 52M. Zach, thank you for sharing your story in the Mogan Gallery. You made the grade and became Mogan of the Week!

Take advantage of the warmer weather this weekend and go catch a Mogan. We want to hear your fish stories. Who knows, you could be the next Mogan of the Week!

Bob’s Machine Shop is on board with Addictive Fishing

3/5/2010

Producing innovative, high quality products for anglers and performance boaters, Bob’s Machine Shop continues their support for the highly rated fishing show, Addictive Fishing, into the 2010 season. Host of the show, Capt. Blair Wiggins, has been running a Bob’s Machine Shop Jack Plate for many years and is convinced of its environmental and operational benefits.

Bob’s Machine Shop, predominately known for its Jack Plate, revolutionized flats fishing. The Jack Plate lifts the outboard motor creating less drag from the motor improving performance, increasing fuel economy and allowing boats to run shallower by lifting the propeller above the protected grass beds. Bob’s Machine Shop is the exclusive manufacturer of Ranger Boats motor accessories and also has a full line of performance parts and add-ons that can customize your boat into a high performance fishing machine.

From Jack Plates to engine controls, BMS believes quality creates its own demand. New for 2010, Bob’s Machine Shop makes it easier getting back into the boat with their new engine mounted ladder. The two step ladder mounts directly to the BMS Jack Plate and is easy to operate. A pull of a pin, the ladder deploys with ease. The ladder snaps back into position when you are ready to run. Whether you are clearing weeds from the prop or just taking a dip during a hot day of fishing, the engine-mounted ladder makes re-boarding a breeze.
